We don’t disagree. My focus is on the rights we’ve granted corporations to control what their workers say and what the marketplace looks like — which is a speech and association question. The issue with the Citizens United debate, for instance, is that it ignores the association aspect. It’s not just that corporations have speech rights in the aggregate, but that they are based on the rights of the individuals. The issue is that the individual speech rights are being overwritten by the corporate.
