ICE Agents are Trump’s Stormtroopers

I was inspired to draw this while toggling between news from the Los Angeles immigration protests and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Maybe it is cliche, but I think the message is simple: Trump is using ICE as his shock troops, what I called the other day the “tip of the spear” in his larger push toward autocracy.

I know many see the use of this kind of language — autocracy, authoritarianism, fascism — as hyperbole, but what we have been witnessing has not been the norm in the United States and keeping silent only allows it to be viewed as normal.
